BACKGROUND

DAT Antibody (6-8D6) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects the DAT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-DAT antibody (6-8D6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The dopamine transporter (DAT) plays a crucial role in regulating dopamine levels in the synaptic cleft by facilitating the reuptake of dopamine from the extracellular space back into presynaptic neurons. APPLICATIONS

DAT (6-8D6) is recommended for detection of DAT of mouse, rat and human origin by Western Blotting (starting dilution 1:200, dilution range 1:100-1:1000), immunoprecipitation [1-2 µg per 100-500 µg of total protein (1 ml of cell lysate)], immunofluorescence (starting dilution 1:50, dilution range 1:50-1:500) and immunohistochemistry (including paraffin-embedded sections) (starting dilution 1:50, dilution range 1:50-1:500).
