DAT Antibody (6-5G10) is a rat monoclonal IgG antibody that detects DAT (Dopamine Transporter) from mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-DAT antibody (6-5G10) is available in non-conjugated form and conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. The dopamine transporter (DAT), a member of the solute carrier family 6, regulates dopamine levels in the synaptic cleft by facilitating dopamine reuptake from extracellular space into presynaptic neurons. This function maintains dopaminergic signaling, essential for mood regulation, reward, and motor control. DAT dysfunction has been linked to various neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), highlighting DAT′s importance in health and disease. Additionally, DAT′s ability to transport neurotoxins contributes to dopaminergic neuron vulnerability in conditions like Parkinson′s disease. Studying DAT dynamics and protein interactions may reveal new therapeutic approaches for these disorders.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite good in IFI used it in IF on hiPSC-derived dopaminergic neurons, at day 45 of in vitro differentiation. Fixation with 4% PFA for 15'; permeabilization with 0,3% triton for 15'; blocking with 3% BSA, 2% donkey serum, 0,1% tween for 1h and 1/2. I used a 1:100 dilution: the signal was good in cells that were highly expressing DAT, whereas in cells with lower DAT expression the signal was low and with some background.
