D-Fructose-1-phosphate disodium salt is a very rare sugar for carbohydrate research. This chemical is an effector of the metabolic regulator Cra of Pseudomonas putida and inhibitor of translation of SugR, a pleiotropic transcriptional repressor, in Corynebacterium glutamicum. It is an important source of energy for cells and a key player in metabolic pathways as it as involved in the production of ATP and NADPH. Also, it is involved in various cellular processes such as respiration, glycolysis, and the pentose phosphate pathway.
