CYP3A1 Antibody (P6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP3A1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CYP3A1 antibody (P6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The CYP3A family of proteins, including CYP3A1, plays a crucial role in metabolizing a wide range of endogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs and toxins, making CYP3A1 essential for pharmacokinetics and toxicology studies. CYP3A1 is predominantly expressed in the liver and participates in oxidative metabolism of various substrates, which can significantly influence drug efficacy and safety. CYP3A4, the human homolog of CYP3A1, undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in different isoforms that affect drug metabolism. CYP3A proteins localize to the endoplasmic reticulum, the primary site for drug metabolism. CYP3A4 expression is induced by glucocorticoids and certain pharmacological agents, highlighting the importance of understanding regulatory mechanisms governing these enzymes in both health and disease contexts.
