SEE ALSO...

CYP2W1 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP2W1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CYP2W1 antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP2W1, consisting of 490 amino acids, is a member of the cytochrome P450 family, which plays a crucial role in metabolizing diverse endogenous and xenobiotic compounds. Notably, CYP2W1 is recognized as a tumor-specific isoform of cytochrome P450 conserved across vertebrates, making CYP2W1 a promising target for cancer therapeutics. CYP2W1 is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum of cells, where CYP2W1 facilitates the oxidation of various substrates, including arachidonic acid and indole. Localization in the endoplasmic reticulum allows efficient interaction with other metabolic enzymes and substrates, thereby influencing metabolic pathways critical for cellular function and drug metabolism. CYP2W1′s ability to metabolize compounds involved in signaling pathways further underscores CYP2W1′s potential importance in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
