Cyfluthrin functions as a neurotoxin, targeting the nervous system of insects. It acts by disrupting the normal function of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the insect′s nervous system. This disruption leads to overstimulation of the nerves, causing paralysis and ultimately death in the targeted insects. Cyfluthrin′s mechanism of action involves binding to specific receptors on the nerve cells, inhibiting the normal transmission of nerve impulses.
