Cyclin L1 Antibody (Q-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cyclin L1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cyclin L1 antibody (Q-1) is available as a non-conjugated format. Cyclin L1 is a crucial regulatory protein that plays a significant role in cell cycle, particularly in mRNA splicing regulation. Cyclin L1 is predominantly located in the nucleus and is essential for proper pre-mRNA processing, which is vital for synthesizing proteins that drive cellular functions. Cyclin L1′s importance in mRNA splicing is underscored by interactions with POLR2A, CDC2L, and SFRS2, which are involved in transcription and splicing machinery. Cyclin L1 dysregulation has been implicated in various cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinomas, where cyclin L1 can be overexpressed and function as a proto-oncogene. Cyclin L1′s ability to modulate mRNA splicing not only influences gene expression but also impacts cellular responses to external signals, making cyclin L1 a critical component in maintaining cellular homeostasis and function.
