QUICK LINKS

Cyanine 3-dUTP can be used to replace TTP in reactions in which it serves as a substrate for E. coli DNA polymerase (holoenzyme and Klenow fragment), T4 and Taq DNA polymerases, reverse transcriptase (from AMV and M-MuLV) and terminal transferase. Cyanine 3-dUTP is also useful because it can be used to prepare fluorescently labeled probes by a variety of methods including nick translation, cDNA labeling and 3′-end labeling. These Cyanine 3-dUTP probes can then be used for the identification of specific sequences by iin situ hybridization procedures on fixed cells and tissues by direct fluorescence detection. Additionally, Cyanine 3-dUTP can be used for multicolor fluorescence labeling. Avoid Freeze/Thaw cycles when using Cyanine 3-dUTP.
