SEE ALSO...

CX3CR1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CX3CR1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CX3CR1 Antibody (B-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CX3CR1, also known as C-X3-C chemokine receptor 1, plays a crucial role in immune response by mediating adhesion and migration of leukocytes, particularly in inflammatory conditions. CX3CR1 is primarily expressed in immune cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, and T lymphocytes, as well as in various tissues, including the brain. CX3CR1′s unique structure, characterized by seven transmembrane domains typical of G-protein-coupled receptors, is essential for binding to fractalkine (CX3CL1), which exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. This interaction is vital for leukocyte trafficking during inflammation and has implications in various diseases, including atherosclerosis and HIV-1 infection, where CX3CR1 acts as a co-receptor for the virus. Understanding CX3CR1′s structure and function is important for developing therapeutic strategies targeting inflammatory diseases and improving patient outcomes in conditions associated with immune dysregulation.

I am not sure which of your isotype controls I should use for this antibody. Could you help me?

Asked by: s2madrob
Thank you for your question. Anti-CX3CR1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a, so the appropriate isotype control would be normal mouse IgG2a: sc-3878. Other isotype controls and their conjugates can be found under this link: https://www.scbt.com/browse/Control-IgGs-and-IgG-Conjugates/_/N-1j3ajah

Is this primary suitable for IHC AP-secondary antibody?

Asked by: Allen95
Thank you for your question. This CX3CR1 antibody is recommended for Immunofluorescence on cells or on fresh frozen tissues, but has not been tested for IHC on paraffin tissue sections. Any anti-mouse secondary antibody should be fine.

Hi, i can use CX3CR1 B-7 for detection of CX3CR1 of rat by Western Blotting? I used CX3CR1 H -70 for detection of CX3Cr1 of rat by WB before and i get excellents resulta before!!! If i can't use this antibody, what You recommend for detection in rat?

Asked by: Ferrara
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not been tested for use on rat samples so it is not warrantied for that use. It may work, but we have not tested it in house yet so we can not warranty it for use on rat samples. If you are interested in a sample of the antibody to test in on your rat cells, please contact your local distributor and they will be happy to help you.
