    SEE ALSO...

CRSP150 Antibody (2214C1a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CRSP150 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CRSP150 antibody (2214C1a) is available as the non-conjugated form. CRSP150 plays a crucial role in transcription regulation within mammalian cells, functioning as part of the CRSP (cofactor required for Sp1 activation) complex, which mediates signals between transcriptional activators and RNA polymerase. CRSP150 is a key component of a high molecular weight coactivating complex ubiquitously expressed across various tissues, highlighting CRSP150′s importance in gene expression regulation. The CRSP complex, including CRSP150, comprises nine distinct subunits and shares structural similarities with yeast transcriptional mediator proteins, indicating a conserved mechanism of transcriptional regulation across species. CRSP150 is related to the yeast protein Rgr1, while other subunits like CRSP70 are similar to the elongation factor TFIIS, underscoring the evolutionary significance of these interactions. CRSP150 interacts with larger multimeric coactivator complexes, such as ARC/DRI, which directly binds to SREBP and nuclear hormone receptors to facilitate transcription, as well as NAT, a polymerase II-interacting complex that represses activated transcription. CRSP150′s multifaceted roles in transcriptional regulation make CRSP150 a vital target for research in gene expression and cellular function.
