Crotoxyfos (also known as Pantozol 1, SD 4294, Volfazol, or (E)-3-[(Dimethoxyphosphinyl)oxy]-2-butenoic Acid 1-Phenylethyl Ester) is a synthetic organophosphate compound used as a pesticide. It acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. This clear or light straw-colored liquid has a mild ester odor. Exposure to crotoxyfos can occur through inhalation, ingestion, or contact. It is classified as a carboxylic ester and is derived from benzyl alcohol.
