CRN Antibody (2212C1a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CRN protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CRN antibody (2212C1a) is available as the non-conjugated form. CRN protein, also known as Crooked neck-like protein 1, plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing process, which is essential for proper expression of genes. CRN protein is encoded by human gene CRNKL1 and is characterized by seventeen HAT repeats, which are important for splicing function. CRN protein is widely expressed and vital for embryogenesis, as well as being implicated in cell cycle progression. CRN protein localization within distinct subnuclear domains associated with small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) biogenesis highlights CRN′s importance in assembly of splicing complexes. CRN protein interacts with splicing factors and binds to splicing complexes during addition of U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP particle, a critical component of major U2-dependent spliceosome. This interaction underscores CRN′s significance in regulation of gene expression and cellular function, making CRN (2212C1a) antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying splicing mechanisms and their implications in development and disease.
