CREB3L2 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CREB3L2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CREB3L2 Antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CREB3L2, also known as cAMP responsive element binding protein 3-like 2 or BBF2H7, is a 520 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. This localization enables CREB3L2 to function effectively as a transcriptional activator during endoplasmic reticulum stress, where CREB3L2 binds DNA as a dimer to activate transcription of unfolded protein response target genes. CREB3L2 maintains cellular homeostasis, particularly in preventing unfolded protein accumulation in damaged neurons, which is vital for neuronal health and function. Chromosomal rearrangements involving CREB3L2 have been linked to low-grade fibromyxoid sarcomas, highlighting CREB3L2′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Multiple isoforms of CREB3L2 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity in various biological contexts.
