QUICK LINKS

CP 154526 hydrochloride is a compound described to act as a selective and potent non-peptide CRF-RI (type 1 corticotropin-releasing factor CR1) receptor and ACTH (adrenocorticotropin-releasing hormone) antagonist. CRF1 belongs to the family of CRF receptors, which are involved in modifying the autonomic, behavioral, and endocrine immune response to stress. Studies report that CP 154526 blocks CRF receptors by binding with high affinity to the receptors and inhibiting the adenylate cyclase activity stimulated by CRF. CP 154526 is structurally related to Antalarmin (sc-203820).
