Corn steep liquor is a viscous concentrate of corn solubles. It is rich in amino acids, minerals, growth stimulants and vitamins. It is a useful nitrogen source for high density E. Coli growths. Corn steep liquor is a byproduct of the wet-milling process of corn, which is primarily used for the extraction of corn starch and other corn derivatives. It also finds applications in agriculture as a natural fertilizer and soil amendment. The organic nitrogen and other nutrients present in it can improve soil fertility and stimulate plant growth, making it a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilizers.
