    SEE ALSO...

Contactin 2 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Contactin 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Contactin 2 antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Contactin 2, also known as CNTN2, transiently-expressed axonal glycoprotein, and Axonin-1, serves as a crucial neuronal cell adhesion molecule that plays a significant role in forming axonal connections during neural development. Contactin 2 is primarily located on the cell membrane of axons within nerve fiber tracts, where Contactin 2 guides commissural axons without promoting their growth, ensuring proper neural circuit formation. Contactin 2 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and features a glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor, six immunoglobulin-like domains, and four fibronectin type III-like domains, which are essential for adhesive properties. Contactin 2′s ability to engage in both homophilic and heterophilic interactions, particularly through binding sites localized to the immunoglobulin and fibronectin domains, is vital for establishing and maintaining the intricate connections between neurons, thereby influencing overall neural network functionality.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376780 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
