    SEE ALSO...

Connexin 30.3 Antibody (F6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects connexin 30.3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-connexin 30.3 antibody (F6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Connexin 30.3 protein, also known as GJB4 or gap junction beta-4 protein, is primarily located in the epidermis, specifically in the upper spinous and granular layers, where GJB4 plays a crucial role in keratinocyte intercellular communication. This communication is vital for maintaining skin homeostasis and facilitating the exchange of ions and small molecules, which is essential for cellular signaling and tissue repair. Disruptions in connexin 30.3 function due to genetic mutations can lead to conditions such as erythrokeratodermia variabilis, characterized by hyperkeratosis and transient erythematous patches, highlighting GJB4′s importance in skin health. With an ability to form hexameric complexes known as connexons, connexin 30.3 contributes to the formation of gap junctions that allow for direct intercellular communication, making GJB4 a significant target for research in dermatological and cellular biology studies.
