Conjugated Linoleic Acid (9E,11E) (9E,11E-CLA) refers to a family of 8 geometric isomers of linoleic acid in which the two double bonds are contiguous. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (9E,11E) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) that naturally occurs in various foods and forms a vital component of cell membranes. It is an essential fatty acid abundantly present in fish oils like salmon and mackerel, as well as certain vegetable oils. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (9E,11E) is not yet fully elucidated, it is believed to function as an antioxidant by scavenging harmful free radicals and shielding cells from oxidative damage.
