    SEE ALSO...

Complexin-3 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Complexin-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Complexin-3 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Complexin-3, also referred to as CPXIII, CPX-III, Nbla11589, or CPLX3, is a 158 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating synaptic vesicle exocytosis, which is essential for neurotransmitter release in the nervous system. Complexin-3 is primarily located in presynaptic terminals of neurons, where Complexin-3 binds to the SNARE core complex, which includes SNAP-25, VAMP-2, and Syntaxin 1. Complexin-3 at these sites is vital for proper functioning of synaptic transmission, as Complexin-3 enhances the efficiency of neurotransmitter release by stabilizing the SNARE complex during the calcium-triggering step of exocytosis. Neurons deficient in Complexin-3 exhibit impaired neurotransmitter release, highlighting Complexin-3′s importance in maintaining synaptic communication and overall neuronal health.
