    SEE ALSO...

COG6 Antibody (RR2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the COG6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-COG6 antibody (RR2) is available as a non-conjugated format. COG6, also known as COD2, is a crucial component of the conserved oligomeric Golgi (COG) complex, which plays a vital role in maintaining the structure and function of the Golgi apparatus. This complex is essential for various cellular processes, including glycosylation and vesicular transport, and consists of three subcomplexes: LDLC, SEC34, and GTC (Golgi transport complex). COG6 is a peripheral membrane protein composed of 657 amino acids and is predominantly expressed in the brain and ovary. COG6 functions to maintain Golgi structure and facilitate vesicle docking and fusion, which are necessary for effective intracellular transport. Notably, COG6 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in three distinct isoforms, each potentially contributing to the complex′s diverse functions. COG6′s interaction with other proteins within the COG complex underscores its importance in cellular homeostasis and highlights its potential as a target for further research in understanding Golgi-related disorders.
