CLP36 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CLP36 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLP36, also known as PDLIM1, CLIM1, or Elfin, is a 329 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in the organization of the cytoskeleton by associating with actin stress fibers. CLP36 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, with lower expression levels found in the colon, small intestine, spleen, lung, placenta, kidney, liver, thymus, and pancreas. CLP36 functions as an adaptor protein, facilitating the recruitment of other proteins to the cytoskeleton, thereby influencing cellular structure and signaling pathways. Notably, CLP36 interacts with Clik1, a kinase, and helps to localize Clik1 to α-actinin-1, enhancing its association with actin stress fibers. CLP36 features one PDZ domain and one LIM zinc-binding domain, which are critical for protein-protein interactions. Additionally, human CLP36 exhibits 88% sequence similarity with its rat counterpart, indicating a conserved functional role across species. Anti-CLP36 antibody (H-11) is an essential tool for researchers studying cytoskeletal dynamics and related cellular processes.
