Cloprostenol Sodium is a synthetic F series prostaglandin that functions as a potent agonist towards the FP receptor. It is known that Cloprostenol Sodium is less selective than other agonists such as fluprostenol, however it displays more potency. Prostaglandins are essential in many biological functions such as smooth muscle stimulation, small artery dilation, bronchial dilation, aggregation of platelets, among other functions.
