CLN5 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLN5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLN5 (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLN5 protein plays a crucial role in lysosomal function and is involved in the degradation of cellular waste, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Dysfunction of CLN5 is associated with neuronal ceroid-lipofuscinosis (NCL), a group of progressive neurodegenerative disorders primarily affecting children, characterized by the accumulation of lipofuscin in lysosomes, leading to neuronal death and severe neurological symptoms.
