CLN2 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CLN2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLN2 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLN2, also known as Tripeptidyl peptidase I (TTP-I), is a vital lysosomal aminopeptidase that plays a significant role in protein degradation within lysosomes. CLN2′s primary function involves sequential removal of tripeptides from small polypeptides, which is essential for proper turnover of cellular proteins and maintenance of cellular homeostasis. A deficiency in CLN2 can lead to severe neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting CLN2′s importance in cellular health and function. Additionally, CLN2′s proenzyme form undergoes conversion to its active form with help from other proteases and can autoactivate in acidic conditions, which is crucial for enzymatic activity in the lysosomal environment.
