CLIM-1/2 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CLIM-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLIM-1, also known as LIM domain-binding factor-2, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and transcriptional regulation by interacting with various transcription factors, thereby influencing gene expression. CLIM-1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where CLIM-1 is involved in the assembly of higher-order protein complexes that are essential for cellular function and development. The localization of CLIM-1 to actin stress fibers in nonmuscle cells is particularly important, as CLIM-1 facilitates interaction with alpha-actinin-2, a key component of the cytoskeleton, through its PDZ domain. This interaction not only stabilizes the cytoskeletal structure but also plays a significant role in cellular mechanics and signaling pathways. CLIM-1/2 (A-6) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of cytoskeletal organization and the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression in various biological contexts.
