Cleaved Thrombin APII Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects cleaved Thrombin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cleaved Thrombin, also known as Factor 2, plays a pivotal role in the hemostatic process following tissue injury by being the active form of Prothrombin, which is proteolytically cleaved to generate Thrombin during the coagulation cascade. This serine protease is not only crucial for the formation of fibrin clots but also significantly influences various cellular processes, including mitogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis. Thrombin′s ability to initiate platelet aggregation and secretion is vital for maintaining vascular integrity during both development and postnatal life. During wound healing, Thrombin coordinates the activity of connective tissue proteins by stimulating fibroblast procollagen production, thereby facilitating tissue repair and regeneration. Anti-cleaved Thrombin antibody (B-7) is an essential tool for researchers studying coagulation processes, vascular biology, and the cellular mechanisms underlying wound healing.
