QUICK LINKS

cis-7,10,13,16-Docosatetraenoic acid, methyl ester, also referred to as DTAEME, is a derivative of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), belonging to the family of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The precise mechanism of action through which cis-7,10,13,16-Docosatetraenoic acid exerts its effects remains partially understood. It has been observed to modulate the NF-κB pathway, as well as the PI3K/Akt pathway, responsible for cell growth and survival. Additionally, cis-7,10,13,16-Docosatetraenoic acid has shown interactions with the AMPK pathway, involved in the regulation of energy metabolism.
