Cirazoline hydrochloride functions as an α1-adrenergic receptor agonist. It acts by binding to and activating α1-adrenergic receptors, leading to the stimulation of phospholipase C and the subsequent increase in intracellular calcium levels. Cirazoline hydrochloride may induce the release of norepinephrine from sympathetic nerve terminals. Cirazoline Hydrochloride′s mechanism of action involves its interaction with α1-adrenergic receptors on smooth muscle cells, leading to the activation of signaling pathways that ultimately result in vasoconstriction.
