QUICK LINKS

CinnGEL 2-methylester is a cell-permeable protein tyrosine phosphatase-1B (PTP1B) inhibitor, hydrolyzed to active inhibitor by intracellular esterases. PTP1B negatively regulates EGF-induced signaling and its inhibition reduces both Src kinase activity and colony formation of colon cancer cells. Research shows that PTP1B has the ability to suppress cell cycle entry.
