Cimetidine is an immunomodulator and a histamine congener. Cimetidine competitively inhibits histamine binding to histamine H2 receptors, and suppresses the growth of several tumors, including gastrointestinal cancer. This compound is an anti-angiogenic agent. Cimetidine is an activator of Nischarin.
