QUICK LINKS

Cibenzoline succinate blocks ATP-sensitive K channels in pancreatic and heart cells in the μM concentrations. It has also been shown to interact with the K(ATP) channel pore-forming subunit from the cytoplasmic side and inhibits the delayed rectifier K current [I(Kr)] in sino-atrial node cells. Cibenzoline belongs to the class of benzylisoquinolines This specific form, the succinate salt of cibenzoline, improves the solubility and stability of the compound. Improved solubility can facilitate its use in chemical processes or formulations.
