Chondroitin disaccharide Δdi-0S sodium salt is a polysaccharide chain that can be sulfated on either, or both, the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) and glucuronic acid (GlcA) units. Chondroitin disaccharide Δdi-0S sodium salt can then be used to form proteoglycans. Proteoglycans are formed when Chondroitin disaccharide Δdi-0S sodium salt and its sulfates are attached to proteins. Chondroitin disaccharide Δdi-0S sodium salt can also function as a substrate for the identification and characterization of enzymes such as unsaturated glucuronyl hydrolases. In the analysis of chondroitin disaccharide sulfates, Chondroitin disaccharide Δdi-0S sodium salt may be used as a reference compound.
