Chloropropylate is an organochlorine compound with acaricidal properties. It belongs to the group of monochlorobenzenes and is classified as a tertiary alcohol and an isopropyl ester. It acts as a bridged diphenyl acaricide. Chloropropylate is derived from 4,4′-dichlorobenzilic acid. Related to DDT. It is a derivative of dichlorobenzylic acid. Chloropropylate is primarily used as an aracicide to control mite populations effectively.
