1% divinylbenzene Mesh size: 200-400 mesh Substution: 1.0-1.6 meq/g Cl Chloromethyl polystyrene and styrene monomers are copolymerized in order to obtain this Merrifield resin. This method avoids the use of carcinogenic chloromethyl methyl ether. This resin is used in the synthesis of peptide acids using Boc strategy and can be cleaved using HF or TFMSA.
