CHL1 Antibody (2H5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CHL1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CHL1 antibody (2H5) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. CHL1, also known as Close Homolog of L1, is a crucial neural cell adhesion molecule that plays a significant role in neuronal development and growth. CHL1 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of neurons, where CHL1 facilitates cell-cell interactions and is essential for proper neuronal positioning and dendritic growth, particularly in pyramidal neurons of the developing neocortex. CHL1′s expression in a high-caudal to low-rostral gradient within the developing cortex is vital for guiding axon growth and ensuring accurate neural circuit formation. Through participation in signal transduction pathways, CHL1 influences cell migration and the overall architecture of the nervous system, making CHL1 a key player in neurodevelopmental processes.
