Datasheets
  • CHERP Antibody (SS5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b κ CHERP antibody, cited in 2 publications, provided at 50 µg/0.5 ml
  • raised against recombinant CHERP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CHERP of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for CHERP Antibody (SS5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with CHERP Antibody (SS5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

CHERP Antibody (SS5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CHERP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CHERP antibody (SS5) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. CHERP protein, also known as calcium homeostasis endoplasmic reticulum protein, SRA1, DAN16, or SCAF6, plays a crucial role in maintaining calcium homeostasis within cells, which is vital for proper functioning of voltage-gated ion channels that regulate muscle and nerve activity. This 916 amino acid protein is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and endoplasmic reticulum, and expression spans various tissues, including pancreas, brain, lung, placenta, liver, kidney, heart, and skeletal muscle. CHERP is essential not only for calcium regulation but also for cell growth and proliferation, highlighting importance in cellular health and function. CHERP features a G-patch domain, an RPR domain, and a SURP motif, and exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in different cellular contexts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good abI bought antibodies for this target in two different companies and non of them work for me (WB in HK-2 cells). The santa cruz CHERP ab worked since the first time, with low unspecific bands (WB 1: 500). I have also use successfully this ab for IP using 3ug of ab in 600ug of protein lysate.
