CFTR Inhibitor-172 is a voltage-independent inhibitor of CFTR chloride channel blocker (Ki = 300 nM). It shows no effects on MDR1, ATP-sensitive K+ channels, or a series of other transporters. CFTR Inhibitor-172 is also shown to block intestinal fluid secretion that is cholera toxin-induced.
