    SEE ALSO...

Cell surface-anchored protein Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the cell surface-anchored protein of Streptococcus equi subsp. equi 4047 origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cell surface-anchored protein antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cell surface-anchored protein (G-4) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of Streptococcus equi, as this protein is involved in bacterial adhesion to host cells, facilitating colonization and infection. This interaction is vital for bacterial establishment of disease, particularly in strangles, a highly contagious equine disease characterized by severe respiratory symptoms and lymphadenitis. Understanding cell surface-anchored protein function not only aids in developing diagnostic tools but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions aimed at disrupting bacterial adhesion and preventing infection. Transmission primarily occurs through inhalation or direct contact with infected secretions, making cell surface-anchored protein research essential for controlling outbreaks in equine populations.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using cell surface-anchored protein (G-4): sc-398060?

    Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
