Cefquinome, a widely employed compound in scientific studies, has proven instrumental in examining the impact on the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the activity of penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) situated on the bacterial cell wall. By doing so, it hampers the synthesis of the cell wall, ultimately leading to the demise of the bacteria.
