CDR2 Antibody (W-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CDR2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CDR2 antibody (W-12) is available as the non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. CDR2, or cerebellar degeneration-related protein 2, is a 545 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the development of paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD), an immune-mediated syndrome that affects the neurological system. PCD is characterized by subacute cerebellar ataxia and is primarily associated with malignancies such as ovarian, uterine, fallopian tube, and breast cancer. CDR2 is predominantly expressed in Purkinje neurons, and CDR2′s interaction with specific autoantibodies in patients with PCD highlights the importance of immune responses against this protein.
