SEE ALSO...

CdGAP Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects CdGAP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CdGAP antibody (G-8) is available as non-conjugated format. CdGAP protein, also known as Cdc42 GTPase-activating protein, functions as a crucial regulator within the superfamily of GTP-binding proteins, including Ras proteins. This 1,444 amino acid protein acts primarily as a GTPase-activating protein for Rho GTPases Cdc42 and RAC1, without interacting with RhoA. CdGAP mediates various signaling pathways influencing transcriptional activation, cell cycle control, and actin reorganization, all vital for proper cellular function and response to external stimuli. CdGAP overexpression in Cos-7 cells induces membrane blebbing, suggesting potential involvement in apoptosis. Human CdGAP undergoes phosphorylation at threonine 776 through interactions with glycogen synthase kinase 3 alpha and beta, potentially modulating activity and function. CdGAP shows ubiquitous expression across tissues, with notably high levels in muscle and heart, highlighting significance in various physiological processes.
