Cdc5L Antibody (2136C1a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Cdc5L in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Cdc5L, or Cell division cycle 5-like protein, plays a crucial role in the regulation of the cell cycle and is essential for pre-mRNA splicing, a process vital for proper gene expression. Cdc5L is located primarily in the nucleus, where Cdc5L participates in the assembly of spliceosomal complexes necessary for intron removal from pre-mRNA. Accurate splicing of pre-mRNA is critical for generating mature mRNA transcripts, and disruption in this process can lead to various diseases, including cancer. Cdc5L is highly conserved across species, underscoring Cdc5L′s fundamental importance in cellular processes. Additionally, chromosomal aberrations involving Cdc5L have been implicated in conditions such as multicystic renal dysplasia, highlighting Cdc5L′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
