    SEE ALSO...

CD45RC Antibody (OX22) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD45RC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD45RC antibody (OX22) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD45RC, also known as CD45 or PTPRC, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the immune system, being broadly expressed among hematopoietic cells. CD45RC features multiple isoforms generated through alternative splicing of exons 4, 5, and 6, which determine specific interactions and signaling pathways activated in different immune cell types. The extracellular domain variations allow for differential recognition by specific monoclonal antibodies, while the conserved intracellular domain maintains the phosphotyrosine phosphatase activity necessary for modulating T cell receptor signaling. This activity is vital for the regulation of tyrosine phosphorylation, which is critical for T cell activation and immune response. CD45RC interacts with Src and Syk family protein tyrosine kinases, including Lck, Fyn, and ZAP-70, which are essential for initiating signaling cascades upon T cell receptor engagement. The ability of CD45RC to modulate these pathways underscores its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis and response.

How can CD45RC (OX22): sc-53049 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: cjMara
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53049 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53049 FITC).
