CD45RC Antibody (6A295) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD45RC in mouse and rat samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD45RC, also known as PTPRC, is a transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, where CD45RC plays a crucial role in immune signaling. CD45RC functions as a phosphotyrosine phosphatase, which is essential for regulating tyrosine phosphorylation events initiated by the T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex. CD45RC activity is localized within its conserved intracellular domain, allowing CD45RC to dephosphorylate key signaling molecules and thereby modulate T cell activation and differentiation. Multiple isoforms of CD45RC, resulting from alternative splicing of exons 4, 5, and 6, add complexity to CD45RC function, as these isoforms can differentially regulate immune responses depending on the cell type. CD45RC interacts with Src and Syk family protein tyrosine kinases, including Lck, Fyn, and ZAP-70, which are critical for the downstream signaling cascades that lead to T cell activation. CD45RC′s ability to fine-tune these signaling pathways underscores CD45RC′s significance in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to pathogens.
