    SEE ALSO...

CD300A Antibody (MEM-260) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD300A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD300A (MEM-260) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE). CD300A protein, also known as CMRF35H, IRC1, IRC2, IRp60, or IGSF12, is a 299 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein primarily localized to the cell membrane, where CD300A plays a crucial role in immune regulation. CD300A contains one immunoglobulin-like V-type domain and is expressed in various immune cells, including mast cells, B-cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and natural killer (NK) cells. As an inhibitory receptor, CD300A is essential for down-regulating NK cell cytolytic activity and may modulate mast cell degranulation, which is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing excessive inflammatory responses. CD300A undergoes post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation and glycosylation, which can influence function and interactions with other proteins. CD300A gene is located on human chromosome 17, a region encompassing over 2.5% of the human genome and responsible for encoding more than 1,200 genes, highlighting CD300A importance in immune system regulation.

Can CD300A (MEM-260): sc-101318 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD300A (MEM-260): sc-101318 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
