    SEE ALSO...

CD28 Antibody (YTH 913.12) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CD28 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD28 plays a crucial role in T cell activation and proliferation by serving as a primary co-stimulatory receptor on T cells, which is essential for effective immune responses. Upon engagement with CD80 and CD86 ligands expressed on antigen-presenting cells, CD28 enhances T cell receptor signaling, leading to increased production of cytokines and promoting T cell survival. This interaction is vital for the initiation of adaptive immunity, as CD28 not only amplifies the T cell response but also helps in the formation of immunological memory. Furthermore, CD28 expression is tightly regulated, with higher levels on resting T cells and decreasing upon activation, which underscores CD28′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. Anti-CD28 antibody (YTH 913.12) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology and the mechanisms of immune regulation.
