SEE ALSO...

CD16 Antibody (ASH 1975) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody designed to detect human CD16, also known as Fc gamma receptor III (FcγRIII), as well as CD16-2 in mouse and rat models, through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD16 plays a pivotal role in the immune system by serving as a low-affinity receptor for the Fc region of IgG antibodies, thereby mediating critical functions such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis. This receptor exists in two primary isoforms: CD16A (FcγRIIIA), a transmembrane protein expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and macrophages, and CD16B (FcγRIIIB), a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein found on neutrophils. The functional distinction between these isoforms is essential for orchestrating effective immune responses, with CD16A facilitating the destruction of target cells through NK cell activity and macrophage-mediated phagocytosis, while CD16B plays a role in neutrophil activation and pathogen clearance. Additionally, CD16 interacts with various signaling molecules, including the γ subunit of FcεRI and the ζ subunit of the TCR-CD3 complex, which are crucial for signal transduction and immune cell activation. CD16 (ASH 1975) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for diverse experimental setups. CD16 monoclonal antibody (ASH 1975) is indispensable for research into immune cell function, autoimmune diseases, and conditions such as paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), where CD16 expression is significantly altered. With alternate names including FcγRIII, Fc gamma receptor III, CD16A, and CD16B, as well as CD16-2 in rodents, CD16 (ASH 1975) monoclonal antibody offers comprehensive detection capabilities, enabling detailed studies of CD16′s essential functions and regulatory mechanisms within the immune system.
