CCL28 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CCL28 of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCL28 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCL28 plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating chemotactic activity for resting CD4 and CD8 T cells, as well as eosinophils, which are essential for orchestrating immune responses and inflammation. This secreted protein binds to chemokine receptors CCR3 and CCR10, previously known as orphan G protein-coupled receptor GPR2, leading to calcium mobilization in a dose-dependent manner, which is vital for activation and migration of immune cells to sites of inflammation. CCL28 is predominantly expressed by epithelial cells in various tissues, including colon, salivary gland, mammary gland, trachea, and rectum, highlighting CCL28′s importance in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions. Additionally, CCL28 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes, characterized by the presence of two adjacent cysteines, and several alternative splice variants may exist, further diversifying CCL28′s functional roles in the immune system.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376654 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
