CC10 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CC10 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CC10 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Clara cell 10 (CC10) protein, a homologue of rabbit uteroglobin, serves as a phospholipase A2 inhibitor, playing a crucial role in modulating inflammatory responses in airway passages. This function is particularly important as CC10 helps regulate eicosanoid levels, which are involved in various physiological processes, including inflammatory response and airway hyperreactivity, making CC10 a significant factor in conditions such as asthma. Additionally, CC10 expression is influenced by transcription factors such as AP-1, octamer, and hepatocyte nuclear factor-3, and CC10 levels fluctuate in relation to the ovarian menstrual cycle, with progesterone potentially stimulating CC10 expression in human endometrium. CC10 is predominantly found in nonciliated airway epithelial cells in lungs and in urogenital secretions, highlighting CC10′s importance in respiratory health. Notably, studies have shown that overexpression of CC10 in the non-small cell lung cancer cell line A549 leads to a marked reduction in matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, suggesting that loss of CC10 may contribute to carcinogenesis progression.
