Caspase-9 inhibitor I (Z-LE(OMe)HD(OMe)-FMK) is a cell-permeable, and irreversible inhibitor of caspase-9 that may also inhibit caspase-4 and caspase-5 as well. Caspase inhibitors play an important role in investigating biological processes. The caspase family of proteins function as key components of the apoptotic machinery and act to destroy specific target proteins which are critical to cellular longevity. Standard apoptosis assays can then be used to examine treated cells for evidence of apoptosis.

Usage :
• When using with purified native or recombinant enzyme, pretreatment with an esterase is required.

• Recommended final working concentration: 50 nM to 100 μM. Investigator must establish the most
effective concentration for their particular assay.
